Shorter College
Founded by the African Methodist Episcopal Church, Shorter College is a Christian college in the Little Rock metro area and one of America’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities. As the only 2-year HBCU in the United States, Shorter grants five associate degrees rooted in liberal arts and Christian values. The college also holds weekly chapel services and attendance is required for every student. Outside of academia, Shorter hosts chapters of a number of national student organizations such as the National Association of Black Men United.
