This school is known for its excellence with assisting students to the next level and helping them find their major.

Solano Community College is great because of personable teachers, challenging academics, and small class sizes. At Solano, teachers recognize your face and know your name because the teachers at Solano for the most part are willing to sit down with you, talk with you, and do what it takes to make you succeed. Furthermore, the academics are challenging--especially in science majors. As a biology major, I have found my science classes and teachers tough, but fair. The teachers for biology and chemistry make the classroom environment friendly by encouraging the asking of questions and telling science jokes. Last but not least, the class sizes are small. Many colleges are so enormous that students get lost in the shuffle. However, at Solano, there's anywhere from 15-30 students per classroom. This gives any student in a classroom an opportunity to learn each classmate's name or even an opportunity to make a new friend.
Solano Student
The learning atmosphere is a safe and secure environment that will allow a student to progress. The materials that are used are easy to understand. Therefore, it makes learning very understandable.
