What Students Are Saying

4.06 Average Rating
The education that one will receive at Southeastern Louisiana University is unlike any other. Professors care about the students and whether or not they are learning the information. I know that when I enter the work force I will be fully prepared with the knowledge and experience I need.
Heather from Baton Rouge, LA
Southeastern has one of the best student-to-teacher ratios of any University and that really gives you a sense of academic security and makes you strive to do the best you can. The classes are designed to help each and every student live up to their full academic potential and set you up for success.

The classes are easy IF you do what is expected and study hard.
Victoria from Hammond, LA
The academics are said to be a tad easier than most other schools. I feel this not to be true but I do realize that most people who said that came from either a large high school or a larger college. So switching to a smaller school and having more hands on teaching and 1 on 1 time makes school much easier.

Classes are challenging, but in a good way. There are opportunities for undergraduate research and getting hands on experience in labs and clinics. I'm looking at enrolling in a 2 week study abroad class next summer!

i am a music major and so far every class i have taken has been very challenging. my teachers have pushed me to help me reach my full potential. the classes in my curriculum that are not related to music are also challenging. i do not feel in any way that my classes were too simple or useless.

The teachers are great. You should come to class whenever you have it. I learned so much that I wanted to know in my field of interest. I also learned about some things that I never thought I would learn about and they were interesting. One of these things was about how listening is what we are taught the least in school but we use it the most. Writing is what we are taught the most but we use it least.
Last year which was my senior year of high school, I struggled in college Algebra. I struggled mightily. I had a D for a long time and received worse than a D on the final. I ended up finishing the semester with an C. This semester I received an A on the final and finished the semester with an A.
