Saint Thomas university is a great Catholic private university. I rate the university a 5 out of 5 for the nice enthusiastic teachers and advisors. The employees at Saint Thomas University work accurately, really hard and fast informing, helping and satisfying parents, future and current students.
Tips for prospective students
Prospective students should meet with financial and academic advisors on a regular basis. Prospective students should apply for scholarships and grants at least 2-3 times a week. Lastly getting involved in a sport or club boosts the chances of success.
Academic Rigor
The work is pretty easy as long as you're self motivated.
Dorm Life
Though I dont stay on campus because I cant afford it, I've heard from many of the students that the dorms are very nice. I havent gotten a bad complaint so far.
Food and Dining
Most schools will not get a 5 star rating from me because I dont like going into cafeteria's, however saint thomas university recieves a 4 out of 5 because they offer a variety of foods, sauces and the nutrition facts are posted at every food window.
What to do for fun
Saint Thomas University offers many groups and clubs to join which is helpful in meeting new people. The university also messages the students informing you on all events and meetings occuring on a daily basis.
Bang for the buck
The bookstore buys back the books. Most books can be rented. The teachers are very leinent with late work. The teachers constantly remind you when assignments are due. You can check online for the work and syllabus.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus
The ministry. Catholic or non catholic people can attend the church morning, afternoon or late in the day. Emails are sent on the hours and church meetings.
Great for these types of students
Religious, non religious, women, catholic, future leaders of the world and almost every major.
Clubs and Activities
The leaders of clubs and activities are usually invited to the class rooms to speak. The leaders are very nice, open and convincing. Freshmens are required to take university prep so that information will be provided.
Campus Safety
The campus is gated with security at the gate checking ID's.

It is a safe and quiet campus. The professors are always available to your needs. You will never be bored because there are always activities and events held during Common Hour where you can meet new people and get your net-working skills going.
Tips for prospective students
Don't slip up on your assignments. The work won't seem hard until you start procrastinating.
Get involved every way you can. It's the best way to meet new people, make friends, and use your net-working skills
Do your part as a student of the campus to help those in need because we are here to build each other up not tear them down
Academic Rigor
The work only gets tough if you don't plan, study and stay on top of your work. Some classes require more study and homework time while others are not as rigorous. The teachers are nice and will work with you personally to ensure you understand the lessons and don't fall behind.
Dorm Life
I don't live on campus but I do plan to. I advise every incoming students no matter what school you attend to try living on campus to experience everything the your school has to offer. It gives you a sense of freedom and independence to make your own decisions.
Food and Dining
The food here is great. Only problem is the price should be lower on some foods
What to do for fun
During Common Hour there are usually events and activities around campus. For example, some clubs host Movie Nights for all students to participant in. There are Basketball games, Homecoming events, SGA activities etc.
Great for these types of students
Athletes
Prospective Law students
Nursing Students
Future Leaders
Clubs and Activities
There are not many clubs to choose from at St. Thomas University. Most students either do not participate or the clubs don't get much recognition. You can always start your own club!
Greek Life
No Greek Life
Campus Safety
I feel safe on campus despite the fact it's in a not-so-safe neighborhood. There are polls around campus with buttons to alert campus security. Also, campus security patrols around campus day and night to ensure safety for students and professors.

Am learning a lot
Professors are great. Whats best is the same class sizes; they allow for a more personalized education. Plenty of areas of study to choose from, however, the classes in less demand are on rotation so you might have to wait a semester to take a class you want. On the bright side, if the class you need is not being offered faculty are so nice and willing to work with you.
Am enjoying being here
How can you not? Its south Florida! the campus is small and beautiful with trees providing shade and ponds that add to the open, fresh, and invigorating sense of the campus. The people are friendly and you will meet students from all over the world, STU prides itself on its diversity.
Bang for the buck
Plenty of scholarship opportunities and again, the small class sizes ensure a personalized education, something targeted at where you need it to be. Plus, the small class sizes gives professors a chance to get to know you personally and come recommendation time for grad school, this will pay off big!
Tips for prospective students
Take advantage of the small size of the university. Faculty are so helpful and it is obvious they love their job, so dont be afraid to go to someone with a question or a problem. You will soon find yourself with a few professors-- even outside of your area of study-- that you connect with on a more personal level (and this will make going to class that much easier).
Great for these types of students
STU is great for the leader type. There are so many opportunities for leadership, be it student government, clubs and organizations, or research with faculty. It hard to not get involved in something because the faculty are so easy to get along with and the students are so fun and energetic. Aside from its diversity, STU is known to build leaders for life and you really will leave St Thomas a leader.
