Tuition, Cost & Aid

Affordability and Cost

Average Net Price Average net price for full-time, first-time degree/certificate-seeking undergraduates paying the in-state or in-district tuition rate who were awarded grant or scholarship aid from federal, state or local governments, or the institution. Other sources of grant aid are excluded. Aid awarded anytime during the full aid year is included.

Average net price is generated by subtracting the average amount of federal, state or local government, or institutional grant and scholarship aid from the total cost of attendance. Total cost of attendance is the sum of published tuition and required fees (lower of in-district or in-state), books and supplies and the weighted average room and board and other expenses.

Out-of-State Tuition Out-of-state tuition is the tuition charged by institutions to those students who do not meet the state’s or institution’s residency requirements. Additional Costs
Room and Board The weighted average for room and board and other expenses is generated as follows:
  • (amount for on-campus room, board and other expenses * # of students living on-campus.
  • + amount for off-campus (with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus with family
  • + amount for off-campus (not with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus not with family)
divided by the total # of students. Students whose living arrangements are unknown are excluded from the calculation. For some institutions the # of students by living arrangement will be known, but dollar amounts will not be known. In this case the # of students with no corresponding dollar amount will be excluded from the denominator.

What Students Are Saying

4.14 Average Rating
Although it's a bit expensive, I think I'll get a great education and even graduate with a job already confirmed.
Ashely from Englewood, NJ
I believe Stevens is worth your money. There is much going on around the school. Although, be aware you will be very busy with homework and studying! :). In my opinion, it is worth it at the end!
JoaoPaulo from East Rutherford, NJ
Stevens students are highly recognized in the industry. Many companies exclusively recruit from Stevens because the students are so well prepared.
Angela from Sparta, NJ
Everybody wishes college would be less expensive but people I've met on campus due to graduate have told me about multiple job offers they have received
Joseph from Brielle, NJ
Stevens is a small, private institute meaning that the cost of tuition is very high. However, Stevens offers a cooperative education program that allows student to get real job experience before graduating and other ways to prepare you for joining the work force. The faculty at Stevens is very dedicated to ensuring that everyone who graduates gets a job and they are about 85-90% successful.
DeAnna from MD
Stevens has been at the top of the list for many surveys done for return on investment. While the ticket price scares many off, admissions is very generous with financial aid in comparison to other schools and Stevens graduates have an easy time finding a high paying job right out of college.
Sarah from Prince Frederick, MD
Stevens is a private school, so it isn't cheap, but I think it is worth it for the quality of education I am getting. And I love my ultimate food plan: any food any time.
Anna from Fountain Valley, CA
