    Campus Safety

campus safety is key here they have programs and they campus police even offer a defense class.

    Greek Life

I have yet to participate but i have heard from friends that it is lots of fun.

    Clubs and Activities

They have many programs suited for everyone.

Great for these types of students

This school is great for people who want to be close with their professors or classmates.

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

Here after you have your student orientation you have this thing that's like welcome week called jag x, then you have the jag walk, where you walk a mile for the front by the road all the way to the school. Then you have Fall fest, Lighting of Esperanza, then the biggest on it on the last day of San Antonio's fiesta which is Festival De Cascarones.

    Bang for the buck

The university is affordable and gives you what you pay for.

    What to do for fun

They have all sort of activity groups and events host (free food). With that saying there isn't much of what you would call "boring" day there is always something to do.

    Food and Dining

Food is affordable and the people who work there are very kind and welcoming.

    Dorm Life

I don't live in dorms but i do have a friend who does she loves and well I do go over and hang they have fun activities for all (open to the whole campus) and for someone who likes study groups they are very open to people helping others.

    Academic Rigor

Learning here is not easy but not hard its a perfect middle and expectation are right in the middle too it just kinda depends on your professor.

    Tips for prospective students

Don't enter this college with a closed mind leave it open so you may be able to find the group you can see as life long friends. Interact with the celebrations and events hosted by the school and with the school.

    In three sentences

This college is very welcoming and its like a big family. It's not hard to find people you will get along with, also tuition isn't bad here either. The professors here are really into connecting with the students and the classrooms are small enough so you can have that interaction with fellow classmates and professors

    Campus Safety

The campus does have security poles available in the parking lots for public use. The campus has good lighting and great security staff who patrols the campus during the day and late at night. They will bike with you or walk you anywhere you need to go at night if you feel insecure about your safety or completely unsafe.

    Greek Life

Usually freshmen aren't allowed to join a fraternity or sorority their first semester of college. There are fraternities and sororities available to join. I am not at all sure how their living arrangements work, but there are no frat or sorority house on campus.

    Clubs and Activities

The great thing about this campus being so new and still developing is that anyone can create a club. There are also so many activities that you can participate in as well.

Great for these types of students

This campus is great for students who enjoy learning in smaller groups. It's great for students who get overwhelmed by huge crowds. I feel like anyone who thinks they are different will find that they fit in here.

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

Our campus celebrates Dia de los Muertos, or the Day of the Dead. This year a group dressed up and performed a ceremony and cleansed people with sage. It's not unusual at all, but it's a little different. I've never seen anything like this in real life. It was really interesting and nice.

    Bang for the buck

    Most definitely

    What to do for fun

The campus always has activities going on for various clubs, organizations, societies and more. It's simple to get involved and learn new things. There is just so many fun activities that happen all the time you just have to apply yourself.

    Food and Dining

The cafeteria is open from 7am to 8pm. There are 3 food chains inside. The food is very good, not too over priced. If you stay on campus you'll need to buy the meal plan.

    Dorm Life

I love living in the dorms! If you plan on living in the dorm make sure to use the Please Don't Snore website provided to explore your roommate matches and confirm with whoever you choose. You can also request your suite mates if you live in a shared room. The dorms have individual study rooms, group study rooms, a game/social room and a very nice gym. The gym is the only room open 24 hrs though. However, there's a 24 hr. lab for studying in another building close by. Anyways, dorm life is very fun and fair. There are visitation hours everyday including the weekend. Students living in dorms don't have a curfew though. Don't lose your key though.

    Academic Rigor

The academic rigor depends on what courses you take. My music appreciation course is not very rigorous compared to my calculus I course.

    Tips for prospective students

Consider what you want to major in because they might not offer your major. Also consider what learning environment is best for you when making a decision. My classes consist of no more than 30 students. Also take advantage of Rate My Professor.com

    In three sentences

I absolutely love the campus, the people and the curriculum. This campus will give you a support group with all the resources you need in order to succeed. I love it! Thanks for reading.
