Originally founded as Washington College in 1823, Trinity College is a 4-year liberal arts college in Hartford and the second oldest college in Connecticut. Trinity offers bachelor’s degrees in 41 academic majors and provides the chance to earn 200 academic internships. For students who wish to learn in a different culture, Trinity oversees nine study abroad programs in Europe and Africa. To provide a space for those interested in the arts, the Trinity campus hosts The Mill, a venue for displaying visual art and film projects.
The professors and staff and fellow students are all wonderful and friendly.
Outside of the academics, there are many campus and off-campus opportunities offered in which students can become involved within both the Trinity and Hartford communities.
I am a non-traditional student - in the IDP program (Individualized Degree Program) and love the atmosphere of the whole community. I am in classes during the day with other IDP students as well as traditional students and while some of us may be a little older than the others in class, we are not treated any differently. Everyone in class is there for the same purpose - to study and learn.
