What Students Are Saying

If you come to Tusculum be prepared for anything. The weather this year has been a little crazy. So if you plan on coming here bring some light jackets and maybe a coat to put in your closet. Be prepared for all your classes. Come with pencils, paper, and of course your homework from the night before. Although at Tusculum we have a computer system that we submit our work into. But You need to be safe and print a hard copy as well. Sometimes your work might get lost. Computers are not perfect. Study tons and tons. You will not pass the class if you do not study. Manage your time. College life can be hectic. You have to keep up with what homework assignments you have, club meeting, and maybe sport practice.

Give colleges with the block system a chance, it may be a lot of work within one day but if you don't like the class you are in or professor, it doesn't matter because you only have 18 days in that class. The block schedule helps you stay consistent, focused, and maintain time management. There isn't much to do in the small town of Greeneville, Tennessee but with all of the great friends you will make you will still have fun! Also, stay active within the campus... join clubs, groups, and play intramural sports, I do all three.

Take advantage of the Walk the Block tours that admissions has to offer. It gives you an opportunity to see how the classes function and lets you decide ahead of time if you think it will work for you. Don't be afraid to ask current students and professors questions, either. It is better to speak up ahead of time and get the answer you need than to discover it too late.
