What Students Are Saying

If you are looking into attending UCA, you are already on the rite track. Although you are coming to obtain an education beware the temptation. Always remember to be on time for class and attend as MUCH as possible. Also study hard and remeber whats important, and lastly get involved in as much as possible and make new friends.
Damian from Parkin, AR
take a tour! the best way to tell if a certain college, even uca is right for you is to tour it. you'll want to feel happy and accepted at whatever college you choose, and the best way to get a feel for that is to actually go to the college for the day, meet some people, and then see how you feel about the experience. if you liked it, then compare it's academic program you would be entering to a few others.

tips that i will give someone who is considering attending college is to use the college's resources . a student who utilizes the school's resources such as the library, tutoring sessions and having a mentor will enhance their journey at college. another tip i would give to a prospective student is to make sure he or she chooses a college that is best for them not because of someone else.

BUY RAINBOOTS! The campus floods pretty bad. Don't be afraid to ask questions, even after class. Always get help from the writing center for essays.
Brittany from Vilonia, AR
Wait for first class to buy books. Ask professor what books are needed.

1. Take the time to do a campus tour! Current students at UCA conduct the tour. They will take you all around campus and show you all of the buildings and where important facilities are located and answer any of your questions! This is a must do for any incoming student so you can familiarize yourself with the campus and where you'll be studying and living.
2. Before your academic advising appointment, have an idea about what kind of classes you want to take, what you want to major/minor in, and what you want to do after graduation, job wise. This will assist your advisor greatly!
3. Familiarize yourself with the MyUCA portal after you have received your acceptance letter! You will get login information on your acceptance letter. The school will email you through this portal, you sign up for classes on the portal, and some key information is also available on the site!
Madison from Maumelle, AR
I would recommend that you get a tour of the campus, from a student that goes there if at all possible. Also, go to SOAR (summer orientation advanced registration), it is an amazing experience. Last but not least, if you decide to attend UCA, GET INVOLVED!!! There is so much to do on this campus, you will always have something to do!
Megan from Sherwood, AR
The two most important things a student can do: Really get involved with organizations on campus, and really apply yourselves in your classes. The former will ensure that you are meeting new people and making the most of your time at UCA. The latter will make certain that you are earning the respect of your teachers and classmates and, most importantly, yourself.
