Will learn a lot
I plan on getting my Physical Therapy Doctorate here, just the fact that they offer a Physical Therapy Doctorate tells me something about their emphasis on education.
Will enjoy being here
Conway, AR. is a pretty big town with plenty to do.
Bang for the buck
It is fairly expensive but it is also the only school in Arkansas that offers a Physical Therapy Doctorate, so in my opinion it is worth the money.

Am learning a lot
Hands down, UCA is one of the best schools as far as education goes. In each class you will feel the desire to learn because the instructors ensure that.
Am enjoying being here
Since i have been apart of the UCA family I have been exposed to the best! Never is there a dull moment. From the class room activities, to the dancing on the yard, even to the pranks in the dorm, it is all spontaneous.
Bang for the buck
If your looking for a bang for your Buck I have three letters for you...UCA!
Tips for prospective students
If you are looking into attending UCA, you are already on the rite track. Although you are coming to obtain an education beware the temptation. Always remember to be on time for class and attend as MUCH as possible. Also study hard and remeber whats important, and lastly get involved in as much as possible and make new friends.
Great for these types of students

the university of central arkansas is a perfect fit for those who prefer a bigger college that also maintains the small town feel as well personal relationships. many of the staff, teachers, and students are friendly and willing to help either with studying or advice about the college experience. the univserity is in a good down that still has some room to grow but it also well established similar to the college itself, and uca has several nationally ranked programs such as its nursing, physical therapy, and occupational therapy programs.
Tips for prospective students
take a tour! the best way to tell if a certain college, even uca is right for you is to tour it. you'll want to feel happy and accepted at whatever college you choose, and the best way to get a feel for that is to actually go to the college for the day, meet some people, and then see how you feel about the experience. if you liked it, then compare it's academic program you would be entering to a few others.
Academic Rigor
the ciriculum is similar to many other colleges making it competive and challenging, yet there is always options for tutoring and meetings with professors. additionally, the library has sound proof study rooms with whiteboard walls avalable.
Dorm Life
the best quality dorm as of right now is bear hall, but uca also offers residential colleges which are dorms that room students based on their degree program. this is beneficial because students in similar programs can study together and some of the professors even live in these dorms, making it easy to ask them questions.
Food and Dining
the cafeteria has many options and fairly good cooking. the college also has an einstine bros, a starbucks, and a small grocery store by the bookstore. to provide even more dining options, uca has also built another dining area with various popular restaurants such as, a burger place, a chicken place, a sushi place, and several others. this dining area also has packaged fruit trays and salads.
What to do for fun
the town of conway itself has many options for fun time away from studying. there a several coffee shops close by, boutiques, and the annual celebration of toad suck, practically a holiday in town. the university has a newly updated recreation building with a small game room, two basketball courts, raquetball courts, and an olympic size swimming pool. the campus also has free kyack, tent, and camping gear rental.
Bang for the buck
uca is considerably cheap for the quality the students get when they attend this school.
Clubs and Activities
tons of clubs and activities to join, the possibilities are endless.
Campus Safety
there is a police station on campus avalable 24/7 for students, and they have a system to send out texts to parents when something is goinging on at the school.

The campus is absolutely gorgeous, perfect for those from a small town or a big town wanting to size down. If anyone is struggling in anyway the professors are always willing to help, but only if you ask.

BUY RAINBOOTS! The campus floods pretty bad. Don't be afraid to ask questions, even after class. Always get help from the writing center for essays.
Academic Rigor
Pretty dang hard if you ask me, and I was a 4.0 honors student lol. But doesn't mean I didn't get help to pass.
Food and Dining

The University of Central Arkansas is a wonderful college to consider! The staff are all very professional and helpful, the academic advisors take great interest in your academic needs, and the campus is absolutely stunning! It's the perfect home away from home!
Tips for prospective students
1. Take the time to do a campus tour! Current students at UCA conduct the tour. They will take you all around campus and show you all of the buildings and where important facilities are located and answer any of your questions! This is a must do for any incoming student so you can familiarize yourself with the campus and where you'll be studying and living.
2. Before your academic advising appointment, have an idea about what kind of classes you want to take, what you want to major/minor in, and what you want to do after graduation, job wise. This will assist your advisor greatly!
3. Familiarize yourself with the MyUCA portal after you have received your acceptance letter! You will get login information on your acceptance letter. The school will email you through this portal, you sign up for classes on the portal, and some key information is also available on the site!
Academic Rigor
The curriculum is designed to keep you engaged and learn the material! There are different types of classes: lectures, labs, etc. and you can take what benefits you. There is also an Honors College located at UCA, which has more rigor and more responsibility.
Dorm Life
There are so many living options at UCA! There are residential colleges, traditional colleges, on campus apartments, and the option to live at home as well. The residential colleges are especially nice, because people who are seeking a similar major live with you! There is suite style living, regular dorm living, and apartment living options. There's a living solution for everyone!
Food and Dining
There are lots of dining options on campus. The Christian Cafeteria has a vast variety of food options to please any picky eater! There is comfort dishes, like pizza and hamburgers, served everyday, as well as rotating pasta and international options. For anyone trying to watch what they eat, the healthy options in the cafeteria are boundless and healthier options of dressings are available as well.
There are quite a few restaurants on campus and near campus as well. In the student center, there is MooYah's, Pizza Hut, and much more! There is also a Starbucks in the library!
There are several meal plans to suit any financial and personal needs.
What to do for fun
There is so much to do on campus! The HYPER center, UCA's Gym, has state of the art exercise equipment and a pool! There are yoga and group exercise classes you can sign up for as well, and there is equipment you can borrow. There is also a rec room in the gym as well.
The Student Activities board plans activities that are often free of charge for UCA students! This could be a movie night, or a concert!
Conway is a college town and there are tons of things to do nearby! You'll never be bored at UCA!
Bang for the buck
UCA is a great deal more affordable than other colleges in the area. They have plenty of scholarships they give out as well. Per semester, its about 5,000 dollars to attend UCA, which is a pretty decent price for university tuition considering that health services and gym fees (among other fees) are included in the sum.

Am learning a lot
I am a second semester freshman. In the classes i have taken so far, I have learned so much! The science department here is a really great one. If you are struggling in any of your classes there are people, including your professors that are here and wiling to help you in any way they can. In my opinion, the professors here really seem to want to help you succeed.
Am enjoying being here
I absolutely love it here! The environment, the campus, and the people are so welcoming! UCA has become a home away from home for me. There is always something going on around here to get involved in.I am having the time of my life here at UCA and I am so glad I got the chance to become a UCA BEAR!!
Bang for the buck
UCA is a wonderful school. As far as Bang for the buck goes, I feel like I am getting what I am paying for. Great faculty and staff, a wonderful campus, and a great college experience make me think i made the right choice to attend this school. In my opinion, UCA is so worth the price I pay to attend.
Tips for prospective students
I would recommend that you get a tour of the campus, from a student that goes there if at all possible. Also, go to SOAR (summer orientation advanced registration), it is an amazing experience. Last but not least, if you decide to attend UCA, GET INVOLVED!!! There is so much to do on this campus, you will always have something to do!

Am learning a lot
I am a junior here at the University of Central Arkansas, and it honestly has been one of the best life decisions I've made. I've walked away from ever class that I've taken here at UCA with new knowledge, not only of the subject matter, but also of the world around me. The key is to walk into every class expecting to learn. Believe me, the professors are more than willing to give you the tools that learning requires.
Am enjoying being here
First of all, the campus is gorgeous. Just going for a walk is an enjoyable way to pass the time. Beyond that, there are so many ways for students to get involved. There are student led clubs from Chess Club to Ballroom Dancing Club that allow the students to use their free time doing what they love to do with people who share common interests. There are also things like SAB (student activities board) in which students are encouraged to get involved with the planning and working of the events on campus.
Bang for the buck
Tuition is somewhat steep, but not unacceptably so. When you consider how much the campus has to offer (free concerts in the courtyard, a two story gym, free entertainment from some of the best comedians, many different food choices in the Student Center and cafeteria) the price is really worth it.
Tips for prospective students
The two most important things a student can do: Really get involved with organizations on campus, and really apply yourselves in your classes. The former will ensure that you are meeting new people and making the most of your time at UCA. The latter will make certain that you are earning the respect of your teachers and classmates and, most importantly, yourself.
Great for these types of students
UCA is a great place for people who love meeting new people. There are tons of people on campus who are eager to get to know new people and just have fun. It is also a perfect place for someone who is really serious about their studies. There are faculty members in every department with office hours just to help students who need help or to discuss interests with students who really apply themselves.

This school has so much you can learn from. Every class I have taken I have learned something from it. The teachers are very passionate about the topic they are teaching and do A good job at it.
Am enjoying being here
The students at the school are very friendly. The school has functions that give new students the chance to interact with other students and faculties so that their stay at the University is good.
Bang for the buck
Tuition is not the best but they do offer a lot of scholarships, and the scholarships are increasing as tuition increases, but you have to keep up your grades in order to keep them.
