Originally opened as a World War II-era army hospital, the University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler is a health science graduate school in east Texas. UTHSCT is home to two schools of Medical Biological Sciences and Rural Health offering three master’s degree programs. To supplement lessons taught in the classroom, UTHSCT provides clinical experience through seven residencies and internships. UTHSCT also focuses on the mental health field through residencies and fellowships from the department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine.
