Located across the Detroit River from the US/Canada border, the University of Windsor is a Canadian public university in southern Ontario and the southernmost institution of higher learning in Canada. UWindsor is home to nine academic faculties hosting 190 undergraduate degree-granting programs. For sports fans, UWindsor fields 15 varsity and club sports teams including men’s and women’s hockey as well as curling. To provide a break from the rigors of academia, the town of Windsor offers numerous shops and restaurants and the city of Detroit is a quick tunnel bus ride away.
