The UPMC Shadyside School of Nursing is a patient-centered nurse training academy affiliated with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. UPMC Shadyside’s nursing curriculum is based on principles of quality and safety and is available in full-time 16-month and part-time 32-month formats. All nursing students participate in clinical experiences at UPMC Shadyside Hospital as well as other hospitals throughout the Pittsburgh area. For a break from academia, the school’s location in the Shadyside neighborhood of Pittsburgh provides easy access to art galleries and boutique shops.
