Located next to LaGuardia Airport,Vaughn College is a school of aeronautics and aviation in New York City. Vaughn confers bachelor’s degrees in 14 aviation and engineering-related fields and is the only college in New York State to offer a degree in Mechatronics, an engineering program developed by MIT. Additionally, the FAA has designated Vaughn College as a Collegiate Training Institute and the college features an approved air traffic control program. Vaughn is home to the Aviation Training Institute and a flight simulator lab featuring two state-of-the-art simulators known as Redbirds.
