Washington Adventist University is a 4-year liberal arts college affiliated with the Seventh Day Adventist Church. The university is made up of three schools: Arts and Social Services, Health Professions, Science, and Wellness, and Graduate and Professional Studies. WAU also offers numerous spiritual activities outside of the classroom including weekly chapel, a Christian comedy show, and a drama team. All religious activities at WAU revolve around a weekly theme chosen by campus ministries.
