Most Selective Colleges and Universities

on February 9, 2017

College rankings can influence the number of students applying to top-ranked colleges. This affects the percentage of applicants who are admitted and the percentage of admitted students who actually enroll in the college.

This table lists the most selective U.S. colleges and universities. The data is based on the 2014 Integrated Postsecondary Education Data Systems (IPEDS). Only colleges that accept at least 100 students a year are included.
