Top 10 College Endowments

on February 28, 2017

Endowments are money or other assets that are donated to colleges or universities. These gifts provide investment income that often helps colleges and universities expand or maintain operations on campus and provide student financial aid. The bigger the endowment, the more money a university has to pump back into itself.

Below are the top 10 college endowments in the U.S. The data was compiled in a report by the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO). NACUBO ranked the market value of endowments in fiscal year 2014-15, the most recent data available.
