College gets expensive quickly, so, on top of our Scholarships Expiring January 2018 we bring you.... more scholarships expiring in January of 2018! Every chunk of change you're awarded, whether it's $500 or $5,000, is that much less that you have to pay back in loans, so start sending out those application! Hustle!

 

 

Technology Awareness Scholarship

Award: $1,000

Deadline: 1/30/18

Description: With great power comes great responsibility! With so much at our fingertips constantly, between mobile phones, tablets, laptops, desktop computers, and on and on, Digital Responsibility wants a 140-character message regarding technology addiction. They might even give you $1000 for it!

 

Payscale Women in STEM Scholarship

Award:  $2,000

Deadline: 1/31/18

Description: Did you know that a 500-word essay is actually only 6 to 7 sentences? That’s what you need to submit to be considered for this scholarship! Oh, as well as a desire to study science, technology, engineering, or math at an accredited institution.


 

Ted, W4VHF, and ITice, K4LVV, Goldthorpe Scholarship

Award: $500

Deadline: 1/31/18

Description: Do you have your Amateur Radio License? If you’re also planning to attend a 4-year institution, you could qualify for this scholarship! Demonstrate a financial need, as well as a volunteer service history, and you could save some money on college tuition!

 

K2TEO Martin J. Green, Sr. Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,000

Deadline: 1/31/18

Description: This scholarship is for students that have a general glass radio license or higher. Preference is given to a student ham or to a student from a ham family!

 

Challenge Met Scholarship

Award: $500

Deadline: 1/31/18

Description: This scholarship is specifically for students with disabilities who have an active Amateur Radio License. Proof from a doctor or school is required, and you must be attending an accredited institution or technical school.

 

Scholarship of the Morris Radio Club of New Jersey

Award: $1,000

Deadline: 1/31/18

Description: If you have a Technician Class Radio License or higher, this scholarship is right up your alley, especially if you plan to enroll in a 4-year educational institution!

 

Richard W. Bendicksen, N7ZL, Memorial Scholarship

Award: $2,000

Deadline: 1/31/18

Description: Attend a 4-year institution and have have an active Amateur Radio Licence — those are the requirements for this scholarship! If you qualify, definitely take a look at the application!

 

Bill, W2ONV, and Ann Salerno Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,000

Deadline: 1/31/18

Description: There are a few qualifications here, so read carefully. Your family’s income must be no greater $100,000, and you must also have at least a 3.7 GPA. You plan to head off to a 4-year institution, and have a an active Amateur Radio License. If you check off all of these boxes, fill out the application!

 

Alfred E. Friend, Jr., W4CF Memorial Scholarship

Award: $5,000

Deadline: 1/31/18

Description: To be eligible for this chunk of change, you’ll need to be pursuing a degree in engineering, as well as have an active Amateur Radio License!

 

Betty Weatherford, KQ6RE, Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,000

Deadline: 1/31/18

Description: Are you pursuing studies in electrical or communication engineering? Then this scholarship might be able to help you out with that college tuition bill! As long as you have an Active Amateur Radio License, fill out the application and click submit!

 

Union Plus Scholarship

Award: $4,000

Deadline: 1/31/18

Description: For current and retired members of unions, this scholarship requires that you be actively enrolled at a U.S. accredited institution or trade school.

 

Carole J. Streeter, KB9JBR, Scholarship

Award: $1,000

Deadline: 1/31/18

Description: To apply for this scholarship, you must have your Amateur Radio License and be pursuing a medical degree at an accredited institution. Preference is given to applicants with basic Morse code abilities!
