Scholarships Expiring March 2018

If you’re a high school senior: it’s crunch time, Cappexians. If you’re a freshman, sophomore, or junior, know that I’m proud of you — you are on-the-ball.

 

That being said, here’s your monthly dose of scholarships — these are all nationwide opportunites with few (or no) qualifications. Pick a few, take some time, and apply! These bundles of money can really take the edge off of your student loans for college. Basically, a little time now can equate to less money owed later. Future you will be endlessly thankful, trust me.

A-1 Auto Transport Scholarship

Award: $1000

Deadline: March 1st, 2018

Description: This scholarship is for any full- or part-time student currently attending an accredited institute and who has a GPA of at least 3.0. Applicants are asked to write an essay or article of at least 1,000 words related to a topic on the website. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until the deadline. Non-U.S. citizens are welcome to apply.


 

ADA Central Annual College Scholarship

Award: $500

Deadline: March 1st, 2018

Description: This scholarship is for students who are either beginning or continuing their college enrollment. Applicants must write an original essay about their experiences with, or what the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) means to them. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be graduating seniors in high school or continuing college.

 

Print and Graphics Scholarship Foundation Scholarship

Award: $1,000-$5,000

Deadline: March 1st, 2018

Description: This scholarship is for high school seniors and high school graduates who are pursuing a career in graphic communications, printing technology, printing management, or publishing. Applicants must be enrolled as full-time students in a two- or four-year accredited graphic or printing program at a technical school, college, or university within the United States.

 

Esme and Elodie Scholarship

Award: $250

Deadline: March 1st, 2018

Description: This scholarship is for high school juniors and seniors, undergraduate students, and graduate or professional degree students. Applicants are asked to answer questions about themselves and their future goals that are intended to promote self-reflection. Applications are due March 1st of each year but are accepted on a rolling basis.

 

Frame My Future Scholarship Contest

Award: $5,000

Deadline: March 1st, 2018

Description: This scholarship is for students attending a US college or university full-time for the 2018-2019 academic year (community college, undergraduate, or graduate school). To qualify, applicants must be legal US residents. Students must create an original, creative entry piece that reflects the given topic. The piece may be a photograph, collage, poem, drawing, painting, graphic design, typed essay, scrapbook style page, or anything that can be created within one image.

 

Let Girls Learn Award

Award: $1,000

Deadline: March 1st, 2018

Description: This award is for high school or undergraduate students. Applicants must create a 3-5 minute video that creates awareness and focuses on solutions about such subjects as the education of girls, economic independence for girls, redefining beauty and other critical issues. Multiple topic ideas are available, please see website for complete guidelines.

 

Global Impact Award

Award: $1,000

Deadline: March 1st, 2018

Description: This award is for high school or undergraduate students. Applicants must create a 3-5 minute video that creates awareness and focuses on solutions  about a global issue like education for girls, global health, economic independence for women. Multiple topic ideas are available, please see website for complete guidelines.

 

Stand Up Men Award

Award: $2,500

Deadline: March 1st, 2018

Description: Submit your original 3 to 6 minute film on any man you know who is taking a stand to prevent violence against women and/or standing up for women's rights.

 

Create-A-Greeting-Card Scholarship Contest

Award: $10,000

Deadline: March 1st, 2018

Description: To apply for this scholarship, applicants must create and submit a photo, artwork, or computer graphic for the front of a greeting card. This scholarship is open to all high school, college, and university students.

 

Doodle 4 Google

Award: $5,000-$30,000

Deadline: March 2nd, 2018

Description: This scholarship is for students in grades K-12 who are enrolled in US-based public, private, or homeschool programs. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents. To apply for this scholarship, applicants must submit a piece of original, two-dimensional artwork on a given theme that features the Google logo.

 

Annual Kaplun Essay Contest

Award: $750-$1,800

Deadline: March 2nd, 2018

Description: This essay contest is for students in grades 7 through 12. To apply, applicants must write an essay in response to a given prompt related to Jewish values. Applicants do not have to be Jewish to enter. International students are eligible to apply.

 

Religious Liberty Essay Scholarship Contest

Award: $500-$2,000

Deadline: March 9th, 2018

Description: This scholarship is for high school students in the graduating classes of 2018 and 2019. There are no requirements regarding GPA, faith, after-school activities or clubs. Applicants must submit a 800-1,200 word essay, discussing the given topic. See website for further detail.

 

ASHG DNA Day Essay Contest

Award: $100-$1,000

Deadline: March 9th, 2018

Description: This contest is open to students in grades 9-12 worldwide and asks students to examine, question, and reflect on important concepts in genetics. Essays are expected to be well-reasoned arguments indicative of a depth of understanding of the concepts related to the essay question.

 

Nature-Saving Scholarship for Those Who Care

Award: $1,000

Deadline: March 11th, 2018

Description: Thousands of watersheds, parks, trails, and forests are suffering from environmental issues. But guess what? Today you have a unique chance to help nature conservancy without ever leaving your house—and you may even win an award! We are excited to give you the opportunity to win a $1,000 or $500 scholarship using only your writing skills. Twice a year, we hold a competition to award the best writers who support a responsible approach to outdoor activities!
