Founded in 1855, Berea College is a private higher education institution situated in Berea, Kentucky. The school provides free tuition through the “Tuition Promise Scholarship” to every student. All students must sign an agreement called the Labor Enrollment Agreement which states that each student must work 10 hours a week on or off campus. Berea was the first coeducational college in Kentucky and the first to admit African-Americans.

Berea has a small campus and a diverse campus with a tight-knit community. You really get to learn from the small classes with much-needed attention from the professors and the representation of students from many countries. Berea offers a free tuition scholarship to all students in order to insure that people can receive a quality education without having much student debt.
