Get involved early, stay on campus as much as possible, if you are in a relationship don't let it prevent you from branching out and meeting a lot of really awesome people, go through recruitment and see if greek life is for you, look into the honors and leadership programs, and most importantly, keep an open mind throughout your college experience.

Marietta College is a place where you get what you put into it. I am currently involved academically and non-academically. This college thrives on teaching students about leadership and culture. The college is also highly involved in community service throughout the year. Come for a visit! It's the best way to see how you feel about a college. It will also give you a good understanding of life on campus. However, make sure to bring an umbrella. It can rain a lot here.

Just like any other college, there are many crowd to get involved with. Whatever the case, just find your niche and group of people, but balance them with schoolwork and other activities. Too much on one thing is almost never a good thing.

Make sure you are attending the college that is right for you, not your parents. I understand money is always an issue, but there are ways around it. This is where you are going to be for 4 years of your life; why waste time at a place you will not be completely happy at? It is not only about the educational aspects, as well as environmental aspects.
