South Carolina State University is an HBCU based in Orangeburg, SC. It is a land-grant institution and member of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund. SCSU is the only HBCU and only university in South Carolina that offers a degree program in Nuclear Engineering. A majority of students choose to study biology, criminal justice and law enforcement administration, or family studies and consumer sciences.
