Adult Health Nurse/Nursing

An adult health nurse is a registered nurse who specializes in providing primary health care to adult patients. You can become an adult health nurse by first getting an undergraduate degree in nursing, then continuing your education in graduate school to specialize in adult health nursing. The adult health nursing program will build on your undergraduate degree in nursing. You'll study more specialized topics and also spend plenty of time in a clinical environment, where you'll get to use your new knowledge to help patients in need. Once you complete your studies, you will be eligible to sit for the adult health clinical nurse specialist certification. Some adult health nurses go onto to specialize in other areas such as: health policy, acute care, and pharmacology.
