Architectural Drafting and Architectural CAD/CADD

Do architectural wonders excite and enthrall you? Do you wonder how they came into being and dream of constructing an architectural legend as well? Then you should definitely pursue an architectural major specifically the architectural drafting and architectural CAD/CADD program. The architectural drafting and architectural CAD/CADD major will prepare you to apply your technical expertise to produce working drawings and electronic simulations for architectural projects. Courses will cover topics thatrelate to basic construction and structural design, architectural designs and layouts, basic structural diagrams, and architectural-aided drafting (CAD). The job outlook for architecture majors is, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, looking pretty good. Employment for architects will grow up to 17 percent from 2012-22, which is faster than the average employment growth rate for all occupations. Doesn't that hint toward brighter job prospects? The architectural drafting and architectural CAD/CADD will enable you to create drawings, models, and then fine-tune designs to come up with the best ideas. You will have to take a design studio course almost every semester of your major, where you will be learning the practicalities of architecture in a hands-on setting.
