A biopsychology major allows students to blend the fields of biology and psychology to better understand the human condition. The skills you'll acquire studying each discipline will be used to enhance your knowledge the other. In time, you will be able to understand the biological makeup of the human body and how it can affect behavior. The major has been designed to train students to identify and learn more about these connections, especially the links between the biophysical and biochemical functioning and central nervous system activity. Students who have majored in biopsychology are often employed as laboratory technicians or research assistants. If you do plan to pursue a master's degree, you could find employment as a consultant or clinical psychologist.
