Have a desire to work in health care, help people, and manage big projects? Consider majoring in nursing administration. With a large aging population and a demand for health care services, there's a growing demand for individuals who can manage nurses and health care professionals in hospitals and care facilities across the country. Your studies will cover some typical nursing topics, like patient communication, care, and nursing theory. But you'll also learn more about human resources, personnel management, and administrative practices. Some schools require you to complete a semester-long internship. In this role, you'll work alongside nursing administrators and health care management professionals and learn to implement an efficient care system within the organization.
