I live off campus in a close apartment but my best friend lives in the dorms and i was basically her other roommate. Although not a super awesome place, if you get one of the newer dorms it's a workable space. The RAs are pretty chill. They pretty much just ask you not to get caught doing anything they would have to report. They have study rooms that are supposed to be completely silent at all times but honestly I've met some the coolest people in the study rooms as well as got some serious studying done. TIP: keep your door open most of the first week, to make quick friends and get to know other dorm mates. They're plenty of little dorm activities always going on from movies to games if you're ever bored. There's a lounge with a flat screen, kitchen, vending machine, and game tables. You're required to also buy a meal plan which gives you points to access to the Dining Commons (DC), Marketplace, and some establiments. Note: many people get really low or even run out of points towards the end of semesters, so get a larger plan than you may originally get. read full review

At Sacramento State University, there are lots of things you can do for fun. Many people like to explore other places around the campus because they are so focused on their major building, that they don't know what else is around. There is also a place called the Well and there is tons of professional work out equipment for any student of Sacramento State. Close by is the American River that most students like to hike along with friends, and when the weather outside gets cold, many events happen inside the Student Union which keeps us busy as well. read full review
