I suggest you really consider what type of career you are interested in before coming and decide if the cost is worth the benefit. If you are interested in the science program this is the perfect place for you because of all the opportunities the school can provide for you! Don't come to Eckerd because you want to live on the water. It is a great school and will push you to do your best academically and to get involved. It will be easy to fall behind in work if you only focus on the beach. However, do enjoy the beach when you come! Not every campus can offer housing with a view of the water! It will be the same no matter what college you attend, but Eckerd likes to party. No one is excluded in said parties as Eckerd is one big family. There are plenty of other things to do on the weekends, but you will need to actively seek out people who are willing to go to a movie instead of party it up in one of the dorms. I don't party, and I have been able to find my group of people here! read full review
