The food here is absolutely terrible, and I just can not spin it otherwise. All freshmen are required to have meal plans (min. $1000), and so most students reluctantly get in the habit of eating at the cafeteria 3 meals a day. Cafeteria food is very sketchy. Healthy/varied options are limited, food and plates are often unclean (dirt/hair/soapscum is common), and I often hear reports of food poisoning and failed attempts to propose a menu change. Campus has two other eating options which both use Meal Exchange Points - the Pub (which serves burger-place style food of the same type as in the cafeteria, but is open until midnight and has carryout) and Voccellis Pizza (open only after 8PM). I personally no longer eat on-campus because of repeated stomach trouble after cafeteria food. (On a related side-note, the minifridges provided in every dorm room can hold enough food to last one person about 2 weeks, if they are frugal.) To be fair, I should note that good desserts/pastries, pizza, and some kind of fresh fruit are always available. Limited and expensive but respectable food can also be purchased at the campus convenience store. read full review

A lot of people may try to hate on the cafeteria food, but that's because they've become a bit jaded to it. The food is great, and always has a great variety. The only thing i can say, is to not wait until the last second to go get food, because at that point, some of the food may not be as good as it could be. Also, included in the meal plan are vouchers for the restaurant on campus, called the Pub. (and no, this does not mean it has alcohol. nice try.) The food there is always cooked for you after you order, and the wait time is reasonably short, and the only exception is the lunch rush when there could be ten orders in line to be filled at a time, all of which are trying to be made at the same time. Even then, the wait is only a few minutes longer than normal. read full review
