NC State is a relatively safe place to be. Since coming here this fall, I have heard of an alarming number of armed robberies near Hillsborough Street but luckily no one was injured. I would recommend always walking with a friend at night time and carrying pepper spray just in case of an emergency. Do not worry while walking around campus because the chance of anything happening is slim to none and the university police has set up blue light poles that you can press in case of an emergency (these are all over campus.) read full review
