The Klauer Family GU Scholarship

Scholarship Description
This scholarship is awarded to an entering first-year student to Georgetown College who demonstrates financial need for Georgetown scholarship aid who is from one of the following five secondary schools and in the following preferential order 1) Northwestern Regional High School #7 in Barkhamstead, CT, 2) The Gilbert School in Winsted, CT, 3) The Trinity School in New York City, NY, 4) Torrington High School in Torrington, CT, or 5) Housatonic Regional High School in Falls Village, CT. Achievement and maintenance of at least a 3.2 grade point average in each academic year will automatically qualify the recipient for renewal of the scholarship through his/her senior year if (s)he continues to demonstrate financial need for Georgetown scholarship assistance. If there are no eligible students from the preferred secondary schools then the scholarship is given to an eligible student in the College who is from Connecticut. The scholarship fund was initially established with a gift from Mr. & Mrs. Gerold F.L. Klauer; additional gifts have been made to the fund by other members of the Klauer family.
