Benjamin Franklin Scholars

Scholarship Description
Each year the College of Engineering invites a limited number of outstanding freshmen to participate in the Benjamin Franklin Scholars Program. The program allows engineering and computer science students to complement their technical education with an in-depth study of humanities or socials sciences. Students who complete this program earn two undergraduate degrees in five years - BS in computer science or engineering and a bachelor's degree in an area of the humanities and social sciences. Many of these scholars choose to earn a degree in multidisciplinary studies (MDS), allowing them to pursue studies such as science, technology, and society; international aspects of technology; and communication and human relations. The Benjamin Franklin Scholars Program offers some scholarships to participants.
