Founded by Royal Charter in 1883, Cardiff University has been producing successful graduates for the past 130 years. Ranked 5th in the UK for research quality (Research Excellence Framework, 2014) and in the top 125 in the world (QS World University Rankings 2015/16), many of the University's academic schools are ranked among the strongest in the UK for the quality of their research and teaching. The University has two Nobel Prize winners among their world-class teaching staff and Cardiff students learn from the very best in their field.
