This competition is for high school students, ages 15-20 and in grades 9-12, with a water-related science project. To qualify for the national competition, students must compete and win at the state level. To enter, applicants must complete the online entry form and electronically submit their research paper. Teams of up to three students may enter. Projects should focus on local, regional, national, or global issues. All projects must use a research-oriented approach, which means they must use scientifically accepted methodologies for experimentation, monitoring, and reporting, including statistical analysis. State winners will receive an all-expense-paid trip to the national SJWP competition. State deadlines may vary. See website for additional details.
