This scholarship is for students in or residents of the St. Louis or Metro East areas in Illinois and Missouri. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be high school seniors or college or university students enrolled full-time in programs or pursuing classes related to electronics, communications, engineering, information systems, computer technology, physics, or mathematics. Applicants will be judged on record of academic achievement, community services, and extracurricular activities; acceptance or attendance at a university, community college, or technical school; an essay of 350 words or less detailing goals for their course of study and if applicable their service to their country as a member of the military, a civil servant, or a contractor in the defense or homeland security industrial base; and the impact if a scholarship is not awarded. Applicants must be US citizens. Winners of full-tuition scholarships are not eligible.
