Scholarship Overview

This scholarship is for AIST Southeast Chapter students (chapter territory includes Southern Virginia, Eastern Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida) who are pursuing a career in engineering, the sciences, or another major related to iron and steel production. If there are no applicants in engineering or the sciences, other majors will be considered. Consideration will be given for extracurricular activities and a written essay. This scholarship is for members of the Material Advantage program, children, stepchildren, grandchildren, or spouses of active (dues paid) Southeast Chapter members for two consecutive years. Student members of the Material Advantage program are also eligible. To qualify, applicants must be accepted in an eligible full- or part-time course of study at an accredited university or college. Applicants must start the course of study at the university or college in the fall of the same year that the scholarship is awarded.
