To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have been accepted to and have notice of intention to attend an ABA-accredited US law school. Applicants must be entering their first year of law school, and demonstrate financial need, commitment to the community, and strong academic achievement. Applicants must be permanent residents of Massachusetts or Rhode Island, legal US residents, and members of diverse minority groups, such as African Americans, American Indians, Hispanics, Asians, Pacific Islanders, Gay/Lesbian, etc. Applicants must desire to work and reside in Massachusetts or Rhode Island after graduation and have a vision of their contributions to the profession and community after graduation.
