These scholarships are for high school and college students who live and/or attend school in Western North Carolina, which includes the following counties: Alexander, Alleghany, Ashe, Avery, Buncombe, Burke, Caldwell, Catawba, Cherokee, Clay, Cleveland, Gaston, Graham, Haywood, Henderson, Iredell, Jackson, Lincoln, Macon, Madison, McDowell, Mitchell, Polk, Randolph, Rutherford, Swain, Transylvania, Watauga, Wilkes, and Yancey.
