These awards are for women in high school grades 9 through 12 who have a demonstrated aptitude and interest in IT/computing and who demonstrate leadership ability. To qualify for this award, applications should have good academic history, typically a GPA of 3.0 or better, and post-secondary education plans. Applicants must reside in the United States. Students from groups underrepresented in computing and current juniors and seniors are strongly encouraged to apply. Applicants may apply to both national and regional competitions. Awardees will be selected for the computing and IT aptitude, leadership ability, academic history, and plans for post-secondary education.
