This scholarship is for graduating high school seniors who reside in one of the following cities in Virginia: Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Hampton, or Newport News. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have demonstrated an avid interest in astronomy. Applicants must plan to attend an accredited two- or four-year college or university, have GPA of 3.0 or higher, and have an SAT score of at least 1650 or an ACT score of at least 26. Applicants must have attained a grade of B or higher in a formal high school astronomy course, or if not such course was available, demonstrate knowledge, enthusiasm, and aptitude in the field of astronomy.
