This scholarship is for graduating seniors who are of Portuguese descent on their father's or mother's side. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be graduating from a high school in California and have a 3.5 GPA in high school. Applicants must have participated in at least three extracurricular activities while in high school and plan to enroll in an accredited community college, college, university, or trade school in the United States. Scholarships are awarded based on GPA, leadership, extracurricular activities, work (paid or volunteer), promise, and membership in Cabrillo Club.
