This scholarship is for undergraduate and graduate students who are majoring in journalism or a communications-related discipline with a concentration in broadcast and career aspirations to work in television news. To qualify, applicants must be current NABJ members, have a 2.5 GPA or higher, and be enrolled full-time at an accredited college or university in the United States. To apply, applicants must write an essay of 1,000-2,000 words on the following topic: "How has Carole Simpson's career inspired you to pursue a career in broadcast journalism and what do you hope your legacy will be?"
