This scholarship is for Hispanic undergraduate students from low-income households. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be planning to enroll in the fall semester of 2012 at a public or private college or university located in any of the 24 northeastern counties of California, which includes Alpine, Amador, Butte, Calaveras, Colusa, El Dorado, Glenn, Lassen, Modoc, Mono, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Shasta, Sierra, Siskiyou, Stanislaus, Sutter, Tehama, Tuolumne, Yolo, and Yuba. Applicants also must have a 2.5 GPA or higher. AB 540 students are encouraged to apply.
