This scholarship is for graduating seniors from a public high school in Johnson County, Indiana; seniors from Perry Meridian High School or Franklin Central High School in Indianapolis; or students in the welding trades program at Central Nine Center. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be planning a career in materials engineering or mechanical engineering. If there are no candidates for one of these fields, the selection committee will consider those pursuing automotive design or nursing. Applicants must be enrolled full-time at an accredited public or private college or university; have a GPA between 2.0 and 3.5; exhibit good character and commitment to school; demonstrate potential to succeed in college and chosen area of study; and demonstrate financial need.
