Scholarship Overview

These programs are for minority college students interested in teaching in a Connecticut public school. To qualify, applicants must be full-time juniors or seniors of African American, Hispanic/Latino, Asian American, or Native American heritage. Applicants must be nominated by an Education Dean (or appropriate official). Nominees preparing to become middle school and/or high school mathematics or science teachers will be considered for a Weisman Scholarship in place of a Minority Teacher Incentive Grant.
