This scholarship is for graduating high school seniors who are members of a minority group and who live in Wicomico, Somerset, or Worcester County, Maryland. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be accepted to study education full-time at an accredited college/university in Delaware or Maryland. Applicants must demonstrate financial need, community involvement, academic achievement, and participation in extracurricular activities. Scholarship recipients must commit to a two-year teaching position within the Public Education System of the lower Eastern Shore’s three counties of Wicomico, Worcester, or Somerset.
