Scholarship Overview

This scholarship is for college-bound high school seniors attending an eligible District of Columbia public high school or public charter school (see application for a list of eligible schools). To qualify, applicants must be enrolled full-time as high school students, graduate, and plan to enroll full-time in college in the fall of 2015. Applicants must US citizens or lawful permanent residents. Applicants must submit their application to their high school counselor. Successful candidates will be chosen by each school's principal and a nominating committee based on academic achievement, with consideration given for other community/extracurricular activities, leadership, financial need, student essay, character evaluation form, and other personal or family attributes.
