Scholarship Overview

This grant is for students enrolled in certificate programs of 450 or more clock hours at participating Florida colleges (public community colleges) or career centers operated by district school boards. To qualify for this grant, applicants must be Florida residents and US citizens or eligible non-citizens; not owe a repayment or be in default under any state or federal grant, loan, or scholarship program unless satisfactory arrangements to repay have been made; not have previously received a baccalaureate degree; enroll for a minimum of 180 clock hours per term (or equivalent of 6 semester credits) at an eligible and participating Florida college (public community college) or career center; and meet Florida’s general eligibility requirements for receipt of state aid. Students must demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA in time to be processed by the deadline specified by the institution.
