Scholarship Overview

This scholarship is for residents of Alaska who are graduating high school seniors. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be pursuing a degree in music education with a special emphasis in string instruments. Students of violin, viola, cello, and string bass are eligible to apply. Applicants must be in good academic standing with a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA. Applicants must be pursuing a career in the field of music education and be enrolled full-time by the beginning of the semester in which the award will be used. Applicants must include with their application an audition in the instrument of their choice.
