This scholarship is for graduating seniors from the following Holland/Zeeland area high schools in Michigan: Black River, Holland Christian High School, Holland High School, West Ottawa High School or Zeeland High Schools. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be from a family with an internationally adopted child or children. Applicants must be accepted to a two- or four-year accredited college, university, or vocational/technical school. Applicants do not have to be adopted themselves but must have at least one sibling who is internationally adopted. To apply for this scholarship, applicants must respond to the essay question: "How has international adoption impacted your life?" Applicants will be reviewed on the following criteria: academic achievement; involvement in community and extracurricular activities; and leadership ability. Financial need is a consideration but not requirement.
